Another Round of Jazz

[title]

Stage for Jazz is halfway into delivering smooth jazz music to us with the talented Teriver Cheung as the lead guitarist, and featuring Angelita Li and her irresistible vocals on 20 March, as well as the charismatic Blaine Whittaker on his saxophone on 27 March. On the opening night, Teriver and Angelita wowed the full-house with their tantalizing rendition of Antonio Carlos Jobim’s Latin jazz music such as Águas de Março, Brigas Nunca Mais, and Dindi. The second show was just as mesmerizing as the energy between Teriver and Blaine’s duet of Hot house, Round midnight, and Stomping at Savoy, and more songs by Bebop were off the charts.

Following two great shows, Stage for Jazz will be running two more nights of jazz going into April and featuring Scott Dodd on the bass on 3 April, and Nicholas Bouloukos on the keyboard on 10 April. Teriver and Scott will be jazzing to music by Pat Metheny and Charlie Haden’s Beyond the Missouri Sky, and to finish off the series with a bang, Teriver will be digging deep into music by Wes Montgomery with Nicholas.

Stage for Jazz, a mini series of live jazz concerts, is presented by Hotel Stage at The Muse, in the basement of the hotel, every Wednesday from 7:30pm to 9:30pm, beginning on 20 March 2019.  The programme features Teriver Cheung on guitar, with guest appearances from other jazz artists each week. There is no cover charge for the event and reservation is recommended.

For jazz aficionados and music lovers, these live performances by such an ensemble of accomplished musicians and artists are irresistible.  On top of this, Muse Wine Bar’s curated list of interesting grape varieties from all major producing regions in the world will tempt the most discerning palate.  What better way to wind down the day than enjoying a glass of your favourite wine while listening to live jazz?
