November’s Wines of the Month compares two East European regions that are close to each other yet possess very different wine-making history. Separated by Serbia in the middle, Romania has one of the oldest wine-making traditions in the world and the fifth largest wine producers in Europe due to its mountainous regions and unique humus-rich black soil, while Montenegro is a small country where wine-making takes place mainly along the southern and coastal regions of the country.
