Shiraz and Syrah Wines This October
Muse Wine Bar’s wine tasting event this October brings together two wines with the same grape variety but from lands far apart. Originally known as simply Syrah wine from the spiritual homeland of France, the grape variety is now planted throughout the world under varying regional expressions and climate differences, deriving a similar red wine variety called the Shiraz wine.
Although both wines are similar in origin, their tastes differ from each other. While the classic ‘old world’ Syrah from the Northern Rhône contains notes of dense fruit with a more restrained character and floral aromas, the traditional Australian Shiraz is more full-bodied, ripe and concentrated in flavor. Try these similar but different wines out at Muse Wine Bar.
