Art Bridge at Hotel Stage extended its invitation to a group of children from St Christopher’s Home in January to inspire them through artworks that reflect local cultural stories, curated by a group of local and international renowned artists.
The art tour led by Hotel Stage’s ambassador visited lobby artworks, including All Walks of life at Yau Ma Tei (YMT) by Wong Tin Yan, which mimics the famous Yung Shu Tau community, and A tree in Austin Road by Halley Cheng. The children also explored the people of YMT through Tang Ying Chi’s People in the street of Hong Kong and The Honey Bear by Fnnch which highlighted Hong Kong’s signature red, white, blue traditions.
The tour concluded with a fun-filled party, and our Group General Manager Mr. Alex Wu presented Hotel Stage’s souvenirs to the children. We were delighted to have celebrated the New Year together, inspiring the children to create art influenced by their local surroundings and stories.
