The dessert is best served the traditional way – fried with scrambled eggs – or you may simply reheat it in the oven or the microwave for a few minutes. Social activities have been limited to our homes for the most part of 2020, but that hasn’t stopped us from enjoying restaurant quality food because alluring takeaway deals have been readily at hand. At Kitchen Savvy, we offered takeaway with a 20% discount since July, making our beloved Italian dishes available to enjoy in the comfort of your home. Now that we’ve entered 2021, the deal continues daily from 12:00pm to 6:00pm until 20 January, 2021 and we’d like to recommend some of our best sellers so that your homebound celebrations can be just as amazing even with social distancing regulations still in effect.
Authentic pastas and risottos are what we’re known for and our Risotto with Seared Scallops, Salmon Roe and Creamy Sauce has been one of the most popular picks since its launch a few months back. If you haven’t tried it yet, expect big bites of perfectly seared jumbo scallops and al dente creamy risotto with bursts of sea-flavoured salmon roe.

Muse Wine Bar launched two intriguing series of wine varieties right before the new year and before the temporary closure of bars, but fret not, we’ve made them available at Kitchen Savvy before 6pm so that you may enjoy a glass or two with your favourite Italian dish. Rare Grape Varieties and International Grape Varieties are the respective series and they each feature 4 unique grape varieties. Luke, our bar manager who carefully selected these, has also taken the liberty to pair some of them with a few of our popular dishes at Kitchen Savvy.
Feteasca Regala from the Rare Grape Varities should be paired with our signature pastas such as the Linguini with Fresh Clam, Garlic and Chili. This light-bodied wine with notes of almond pairs well with a light pasta with seafood.
Macabeo from the Rare Grape Varieties should be enjoyed with a seafood dish such as our Baked Oyster 3 Ways because the intense flavours of white fruit and good acidity of this wine would complement the freshness of the oysters nicely.
Cabernet Franc from the Rare Grape Varieties would pair well with a tasty fish dish like our Fish of the Day because the wine brings mild hotness and notes of roasted red pepper which would taste just right with the white meat of the fish.
Both Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah from the International Grape Varieties are recommended to be paired with game such as our French Guinea Fowl, Bordelaise Sauternes, Raisin. The brisk acidity, earthy tastes and smoky flavours match the tang of the guinea fowl.
